The first flight in Indonesia was carried out by a Dutchman named van der Willigen in 1911 in Bandung.
In 1928, Indonesia had the first national airline, KNILM (Koninklijke Nederlandsch-Indische Luchtvaart Maatschappij).
The first aircraft used by KNILM is Fokker F.VII aircraft.
